Nero’s night - Loraine James / Kode9 / Nero Sound System
Description
In this special event, the Teatro alle Tese will pulsate to the sounds and rhythms that for over thirty years have been part of the rave continuum: a single flow of sound that from its origins at the end of the eighties leads directly to today’s digital landscapes via the sounds that define the multifaceted field of “electronic dance music”: techno, house, EDM, and club music in all its infinite variety. A carefully chosen selection curated by NERO will rejoin the threads that, from its origins, link dance music and avant-garde audio, while the British musician Loraine James, whose personal journey mixes rave heritage and experimental sounds, will give a live performance involving the use of laptop, voice and MIDI controller. The evening will close with the DJ set of Kode9, historic repository of British rave culture and tireless explorer of the so-called hardcore continuum—the uneven path that in the United Kingdom is made up of living street genres such as jungle, drum and bass, grime and dubstep.
