Biennale Sessions

On the occasion of the 60th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia addresses universities, academies of fine arts and higher education institutions with a special project.

La Biennale di Venezia considers the Exhibition as a place where universities, academies of fine arts, higher education institutions, as well as research institutes, can plan a visit especially designed for their Educational activities; La Biennale di Venezia aims at providing these institutions with favourable conditions to organise such visits.

Biennale Sessions is addressed to institutions that intend to visit the 60th International Art Exhibition with a minimum of 50 persons (faculty and students included). Slightly smaller groups might be accepted in particular circumstances, subject to approval.

La Biennale offers to affiliated institutions:

  • a € 20 per student special pass giving access to the Exhibition venues for three consecutive days;
  • a location, free of charge, for a seminar, to be organised by the same institution, in one of the Exhibition venues, together with their facilities (the pre-opening days are not included);
  • special attendance conditions at concurrent events and initiatives organised by the Dance, Music, Theatre, and Cinema Departments as well as by the Historical Archive of Contemporary Arts (ASAC);
  • discounts at snack areas and restaurants located at the Exhibition venues;
  • help in organising their stay;
  • participation in conferences and other initiatives organised by La Biennale at the Exhibition’s venues;
  • mention of participating institutions in the official communication.

Affiliation to the project is free of charge and it is regulated by a memorandum of understanding. Benefits are extended to all groups from affiliated institutions that reach the required quota of participants.
