Description
INBETWEEN presents a series of architectural works from Australia and across the Pacific region that strengthens cultural understanding between non-Indigenous and First Nations people. Projects that powerfully demonstrate the capacity of architecture to revive and enhance Indigenous voice, identity, and culture.
The Australian pavilion is transformed into an immersive sensory experience with video art dancing across a five-metre high steel ‘canvas’ and story rooms that provide deeply engaging auditory experiences. Representing Australia at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice, INBETWEEN promises to be a memorable and powerful exchange of ideas that seeks to create a legacy and continued conversation around the value of Indigenous identity and culture through co-authored design of the built environment.
