Instead, it is his courageous and determined wife Bertha who recognises that the car must be shown to the world in order to change public perception. Step into Bertha’s shoes, explore a workshop and discover her fascinating backstory. I was compelled to tell this story of ingenuity and determination against all the odds because Bertha Benz was a woman with a single- minded vision who played a pivotal role in shaping technology and revolutionising travel. With incredible foresight, tenacity and courage, Bertha’s vision for the future has shaped the course of history. Telling the story in VR, truly brings the narrative to life allowing the player to undergo her struggles, relive her journey and experience her vision of showcasing the first car to the world.
