The Grand Getaway is an interactive, narrative-led VR experience for the Meta Quest which will take fans on a brand-new adventure with much- loved characters Wallace and Gromit.
A series of mishaps send Wallace and Gromit’s holiday plans hurtling off course. Join the duo and their new contraptions Auto-Caddy and BERYL (beverage employee related logistics contraption) on a holiday adventure to remember!

Wallace and Gromit’s universe is so rich with detail and humour and the characters so well developed and loved, that climbing into their universe felt not only incredibly exciting but strangely natural too.
The VR format enables fans to experience their physicality, explore some familiar spaces as well as some entirely new, packed with silliness, famous references, and a sense of adventure throughout.
Working in VR presents unique challenges to storytelling—pushing beyond traditional filmmaking and embracing an active audience can be mind boggling but finding solutions is hugely rewarding. It’s a brave new world that’s fun to explore.
