Synopsis

A woman and a man, who are in an extramarital relationship, spend a night together at the woman’s house. However, with the arrest of the man’s wife during street protests on the same night, their relationship undergoes some changes.

Director's statement

Many years ago, in one of the sessions of the screenwriting course, my teacher brought up a subject, movies in which the hero and anti-hero are the same. This idea settled in my mind until I wrote the script of this film. It is a film about a woman who has no will to leave the relationship that hurts her, while the only obstacle to her freedom is herself. What gives the woman the courage to cross the desire to achieve the need is the liberation movement of another woman. In recent years, women in Iran have defined a movement that did not follow a male power-seeking political movement. Rather, it was a civil and rights-seeking movement to achieve freedom and the right to choose. It was a movement that may appear to have started on the street on a certain date. Still, for some women, it had been going on in their homes for a long time, and then it found its way to many homes and questioned the traditional structures and the normalisation of male dominance.
