Description

It's just another day at work for Hades and Persephone. In the waiting room of the afterlife, there are many issues to resolve: forms to fill out, papers to sign, decisions to make. The two are arguing, as always, when Jason arrives asking for full custody of his children, whom he believes were murdered by his ex-wife Medea. Immediately, a court of justice is convened: there is evidence, witnesses, and two very different versions of the story. An exhilarating dark comedy, Ruination: The True Story of Medea blends live music, movement, and text to tell a family story of revenge, boredom, sex, betrayal, and murder, where heroes can also be villains. A co-production with the Royal Ballet in London, Ruination is the latest creation from Lost Dog, led by choreographer and director Ben Duke.
