Synopsis
2085, humanity starts to colonize the universe and sends exploration vessels in recognition. You are sent to investigate the disappearance of one of them: the Eclipse. Eclipse is an immersive “hyper reality” collaborative experience, a glimpse of tomorrow’s cinema. A 4-player Sci-Fi interactive short movie that lasts around 40 minutes, enhanced by physical effects, full body awareness and total freedom of movements.
Directors’ Statement
For its directors, both members of BackLight’s founding team, Eclipse was the occasion to join their various cinematographic influences, their video game culture and their professional knowledge from animation, digital creation and VR production, in a unique and hybrid experience, cross ways from cinema, video games and escape games.
