Extension of the call for projects of the Venice Gap-Financing Market

La Biennale di Venezia, chaired by Paolo Baratta, announces the new Call for the Venice Gap-Financing Market, open through May 14th, 2019.
The sixth edition of the Venice Gap-Financing Market, which will take place from August 30th to September 1st, 2019, during the 76th Venice International Film Festival (August 28th – September 7th, 2019), directed by Alberto Barbera.
The Venice Gap-Financing Market is a platform for selected projects to support the European and International producers to secure financing for their projects (Fiction, Documentaries and VR Immersive Story Projects) through one-to-one meetings with potential and pertinent international professionals (producers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, broadcasters and funds). All the invited professionals are decision-makers.
This call is open to European and International projects for the following categories:
- Film and Documentary: up to 27/33 feature films and international narrative or creative feature documentaries, including 3 Biennale College Cinema Projects, from all over the world will be selected. There is no genre limitation and animation feature films are welcome;
- VR Immersive Story Projects: up to 10/12 VR projects from all over the world will be selected.
The 3-day event (from August 30th to September 1st, 2019) of the 6th Venice Gap-Financing Market will present up to 45 selected European and International projects and VR Immersive Story Projects developed through the Biennale College Cinema - Virtual Reality.
