46th International Theatre Festival
The 46th International Theatre Festival this year ran from 20 July to 5 August 2018, directed by Antonio Latella and featuring a rich programme of shows and encounters. The activities of the Biennale College - Teatro were addressed again this year at young Italian directors up to 30 years of age: the participants presented the first part of their projects during the Festival.
The awards of the Biennale Teatro 2018 have been attributed to Antonio Rezza and Flavia Mastrella, an artistic duo that has no equals on the contemporary theatre scene: they received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement during the Awards Ceremony on July 20. The Anagoor company, which in just a few years has moved to the centre of attention in Europe, received the Silver Lion.
