Un soir avec les impressionistes Paris 1874

Paris, 15 April 1874, eight o’clock in the evening, in the former studio of the famous photographer Nadar, on Boulevard des Capucines. On the second and third floors of the building, some thirty painters gathered to present a selection of around 165 works to the public. Relive the opening night of the first Impressionist exhibition in virtual reality! A unique, immersive journey back in time to share with family and friends.

Creating Un soir avec les impressionnistes, Paris 1874 has been an exciting adventure and a great honour. This project was born from my desire to transport the audience to the notion of “impression” as described by Monet: “The subject is something secondary, what I want to reproduce is what is between the subject and me.” The idea was to allow visitors not only to see the artworks but to experience the atmosphere of Paris in 1874, feeling the energy of the artists and the iconic places that inspired their masterpieces. We prioritised historical authenticity and collaborated closely with the curators of the Musée d’Orsay. This project is a tribute to the innovative spirit and boldness of the Impressionists, whose works continue to fascinate and inspire.
