Synopsis
Julie and Yuval live in Paris, are in love and have just had a baby. When Yuval needs to return to Israel to renew his visa, they start sharing their family routine via video call. Watching each other obsessively through a screen, however, begins to take its toll on their relationship.
Will their love survive the perils of this new form of interaction?
Director’s Statement
As a woman, a mother and a director, I’m confronted constantly with how to manage it all together. Nothing prepares us to this collision of desires and objectives. This film is an exploration of a couple’s encounter with each other’s needs and aspirations, given their different backgrounds.
The crash is almost inevitable. Instead of romantically exchanging letters, nowadays, we live together through screens. This adds fuel of jealousy and tension to the already explosive relationship. The End of Love is conveyed by two magnificent actors who, by taking up the challenge of this unique form, draw us into their intimacy immediately.
